JANUARY 6, 2009

In 1933, Roosevelt had nothing to gain by ending Prohibition.   In the midst of the Great Depression, it somehow seemed illogical to put a beer on the table before bread, but it wasn't a beer that Roosevelt put on the table.  It was something needed far more than bread.  It was Trust.

The reason for ending Prohibition was simply so the general public could have a recreational drug.  Although there was an indirect medical benefit obtained because the the swill water produced during Prohibition was harmful and deadly.   That didn't matter, of course.  The fact was that there was no direct medical benefit.  Today, however, the WOD targets patients with chronic medical disorders and physicians across the nation.  Healthcare has been seriously weakened by the WOD, and there is far greater need to end the WOD today than there was to end Prohibition in 1933.  Still, it doesn't seem like ther wiil be an end because fear and ignorance have stretched from the Nixon Administration all the way out to the Obama administration, .  The tragedy is that no one realizes that this administrationMagic words from Joe Biden who joined the Democrat ticket last week when Denver became the burial ground for the American public.

"I can't understand it," was the reaction from Mary Sharpe who lost her boyfriend and the father of her now 4-year old son during a SWAT Raid when her son was still an infant almost 4 years ago.  "They're all murderers.  They're all just like Bush."

Daryl Hendrickson, a 23-year-old apprentice was brutally murdered by a  member of the Lima SWAT team.   He and Mary met in high school.   Rather than get married right away, Mary decided she wanted to study nursing and was a year away from graduating when their apartment building in Miami, Florida was blasted by SWAT Team.   They shot Daryl six times as he tried to get up from the floor.  The baby lost his hearing and his arm was seriously damaged.   Mary was walking home from school when she saw her apartment building ablaze.    She pushed her way into the building and found her son knocked on the floor.   Mary fought back and was arrested.   There were no drugs in the apartment.  Neither Mary nor Daryl ever used any drugs.

DRUG USE EDUCATION

We can't save lives in a war!  We can with education that teaches how chemical substances are properly used.
