Gigabit Communication Engineering

The Gigabit Communications Network (GicomNET) is a design goal of Gicomeng. An overlay of various client networks comprised of global carrier facilities and equipment, GicomNET will one day offer end-to-end gigabit service to customers throughout the world. Consisting of both wireless and wireline transmission, optical fiber and cable, dark and lighted fiber, running a variety of Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) speeds, intersecting links will consist of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), gigabit Ethernet, and adapt to a wide range of network protocols and switching equipment. The layout of the network will be driven by client requirements and available transmission equipment. Gicomeng will work both independently and with clients to negotiate contracts with carriers, equipment vendors, and VARs in purchasing/leasing facilities to transmit multimedia communications.

Gicomeng will support thedesign, planning, implementation and operation of corporate networks. We will coordinate with clients or provide support to install and maintain the client-server and mainframe environment. We design customized networks and provide solutions according to client requirements.

GicomNET wil be designed to achieve a network availablility rate of 99.999% uptime, with more optimal expetations due to built in resiliency and other features in the local and global network.

Setting the Standard for End-to-End Gigabit Transport

True broadband multimedia means consistent throughput rates from the server to the device you are using to access the server. SONET, ATM, DSL, Gigabit Ethernet... may provide you with access to the network at incredibly high speeds, but unless your carrier matches or exceeds those speeds end-to-end, you will be constricted to the slowest rate throughput of the network. Very often, that's an E1(1.544 Mbps) or even lower if you are accesing a shared circuit.

Our Network Approach
Gicomeng delivers quality programming by assuring that your carrier supports high data rrate throughput based on SONET and other standards.
